Congratulations to Baileigh Andrews for being awarded the 2021 MPSA Dave LeGrow Female Youth Athlete of the Year. Baileigh played with the MPSA GU13 PYL team last season.
A big congratulations to Russell Noseworthy on being awarded the MPSA Senior Male Athlete of the Year award for 2021. Russell made his return to soccer last year playing with Wade Abbott Dentistry Mens Masters team.
Beth Tremblett was a member of our Ladies Intermediate team this past season and not only worked hard on the field but off the field recruiting some quality players to the team. Congratulations Beth on receiving the 2021 MPSA Senior Female Player of the Year!
A double congratulations!! Cathy Snelgrove and Dean Blanks have been a coaching team for a number of years... so only fitting that they are awarded the MPSA Coach of the Year together! Congratulations Cathy and Dean!!
Another great season for this team!! A big Congratulations to Coach Moyst and our MPSA BU15 PYL team on being recognized as MPSA Team of the Year! They placed first in the league in the season and won the Bronze medal in the playoffs! Congratulations to the coaches and players! Great job!

Congratulations to Jonny Andrews - Board member; PYL, Metro, and Club league coach; cheerleader, and biggest soccer fan there is! If you have been on a soccer field in Mount Pearl this year, chances are you saw Jonny, our MPSA Volunteer of the Year!
A big Congratulations to this father, grandfather, coach, and long time MPSA volunteer, Mr. Jim Bulger. He has a true love for our community and our club and Jim has always put Youth First. Congratulations Jim on receiving the MPSA Alumni of the Year award!
Cathy Snelgrove played double duty this year coaching both the BU13 Metro team and the BU11 Metro team. Besides her considerable soccer experience she has a natural ability to make every child feel important and can take a group of children and make them a true team! Congratulations Cathy on earning the MPSA Achievement Award!
Peter Jacobs was a player on our BU15 PYL team this season. However, he also stepped up to be a Junior Coach with the BU8 Metro team attending their training sessions and games. Congratulations Peter on receiving this year's Recognition Award!

MPSA accepts nominations for all awards following the close of our current season (September - October).
Nominees for the awards must be a MPSA member in good standing
Awards are considered for outstanding performance or series of performances in the year of the nomination - it is not based on a history of performance or achievements
Nominations may be made by members of MPSA (players, parent/guardian of a registered minor players under age of 19, coaching staff, executive members, officials, or a previously elected executive member of MPSA.)
The final decision regarding nominations and eligibility will rest with the MPSA Award Selection Committee, which is comprised of several Alumni members.

Team of the Year: This award recognizes and honours a Metro, PYL, or Senior League team that demonstrated excellence on and off the field. They exhibit a commitment to training, growth and development of their skills, and success during the season that has brought positive attention to MPSA. Official of the Year: This award recognizes and honours a MPSA official for exemplary performance in officiating for our Club, Metro, and/or PYL Leagues. They exhibit leadership, a thorough understanding of the rules of the game, and strong communication skills. Volunteer of the Year: This award recognizes and honours a MPSA Parent, Player, member of Coaching Staff, Board member, or Alumni who through their contributions, have brought positive attention to MPSA and helped build a stronger Association.
