Tier 1: Preliminary Roster

Tier 1 players are highlighted in blue in the table below. Several roster spots have been intentionally left open. These will be filled over the coming months based on the results of the fall identification sessions, with consideration also given to players’ development, effort and performance in training.

Training Pools

All other players have been placed into training pools. These are training groups only, not team assignments.

All U10-U11 teams play in the Metro league. The final team structure for this age group won’t be confirmed until spring and will be determined by the Metro league. That includes whether a Tier 3 league will be offered and how many teams will play at each tier. These decisions, and their timing, are outside our control. Rather than set rosters now and risk reshuffling later, we’re keeping players in training pools until the structure is confirmed.

Final rosters will be set in the spring, and families will be contacted directly at that time. If teams need to be rebalanced, placements will take into account the results of this fall’s identification sessions as well as players’ development in training. No identification sessions are planned for the spring. Until then, pool placement does not indicate a team or tier.

Missed Identification Sessions

Players who missed the identification sessions due to injury or other reasons will be assessed once practices begin.

Practice Schedules

Practice schedules are not being posted at this time, as coaching assignments are pending approval by the MPSA Board of Directors. Board approval is expected in the coming weeks. Once coaching assignments are confirmed, practice schedules will be finalized in cooperation with the coaching team and shared with families as soon as they are available.
